Did you ever think how the whole universe work?
If we start searching towards that, do you think one human life cycle is enough time to conclude?
Do you think all the scientists designed, searched or invented everything very new, yeah of course this is also very much possible but is it possible for all the cases?
or do you think they invented something because some knowledge shared from the past generations?
I’m assuming you will also agree that knowledge keep on passing from one generation to another and again to the next generations. This is kind of a ladder where one generation created one step and then another generation created a new step on top of the first step. This ladder creation continues from one generation to another. and in all the generation we were thinking this is the destination where this ladder taking us to. we also lower the importance of the first or initial steps of this ladder and think those were wrong practices or ways. But remember these are the ones on top of what other generations practices or thought build on.
OK I hope most of you, if not all, sometimes in your corporate functions or in office activity. Several time you might have seen managers or activity owners plan for a communication game kind of activity where people stand in one row not seeing each other and then the organizer show or tell something to the first person in the row and then that person whatever he understood he shared the same communication to the next person and then the next person will pass to the next and then again to the next till the last person. and out of surprise most of the time what communicated to the first person never reached exactly to the last person. this when I’m saying happening in very organized environment and educated people engaged and the whole duration is within maybe 20 minutes or 30 minutes maximum. think through, even they failed to pass the exact message or content. now think about when we are talking here about the centuries and the generation, now tell, do you think whatever ancient wisdom reached to us is same as what has been shared by ancient people. there may be a possibility the person who took over the old research and the ancient wisdom, maybe he thought or taken differently than the actual lesson from that wisdom. So, what I’m trying to say here whatever era we are we are doing actually great. but we should also not forget the ancient wisdom shared by our forefather and may learn from it without any prejudice. If we implemented accurately on top of our ancient wisdom shared by our forefathers is great and if not and we reached to some other destination it is good but there is always an opportunity to explore.
Caring cow, here what we are trying to search ancient cultures around the world. Ancient cultures around the world have a rich repository of wisdom related to health and wellness. While the specific practices and beliefs may vary across different cultures, there are common themes that highlight the interconnectedness of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Here are some examples of ancient health and wellness wisdom:
1. Ayurveda (India): Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine that dates back thousands of years. It emphasizes balance in the body’s three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) and advocates a holistic approach to health, incorporating diet, herbal remedies, yoga, and meditation.
2. Traditional Chinese Medicine (China): Rooted in ancient Chinese philosophy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) views the body as a system of interconnected energies. Practices such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, tai chi, and qigong aim to balance the flow of vital energy (Qi) in the body.
3. Greek Hygiene and Lifestyle: Ancient Greeks, particularly in the Classical period, valued physical fitness and hygiene. The Greek philosopher Hippocrates, often considered the father of medicine, emphasized the importance of a balanced diet, exercise, and fresh air for maintaining health.
4. Mind-Body Connection (Various Cultures): Many ancient cultures recognized the intimate connection between the mind and the body. Practices such as meditation, mindfulness, and yoga, found in cultures like those of ancient India, Greece, and China, highlight the importance of mental well-being for overall health.
5. Herbal Remedies (Various Cultures): Different ancient cultures, including those of Egypt, China, and Native American tribes, relied on herbal remedies for healing various ailments. Knowledge of medicinal plants and their properties was passed down through generations.
6. Balanced Living (Various Cultures): The concept of balance is often central to ancient health wisdom. Whether it’s the balance of the doshas in Ayurveda, the Yin-Yang balance in TCM, or the harmony of mind, body, and spirit in various philosophies, maintaining equilibrium is seen as crucial for well-being.
7. Hydrotherapy (Ancient Rome): The ancient Romans were known for their elaborate bathhouses, which were not only places for physical cleanliness but also for socializing and relaxation. They believed in the therapeutic benefits of water, including hot and cold baths.
8. Preventive Practices (Various Cultures): Many ancient health systems prioritized preventive measures over curative ones. This often involved adopting a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate rest, to prevent illnesses from arising in the first place.
While these ancient practices offer valuable insights, it’s important to approach them with an understanding of modern scientific advancements and individual health needs. Integrating aspects of ancient wisdom with evidence-based contemporary practices can contribute to a holistic approach to health and wellness.
So, the main question is all this knowledge already in a lot of books, then why we are looking for this site. The reason of creating this site it is not only what is written in the book but also what health and Wellness methods, practices popular in different part of the world.
